Nardi, Nahum

Nardi, Nahum
(1901-77)
   Israeli composer. He was born in Kiev. After studying the piano and composition at the Kiev, Warsaw and Vienna Conservatories, he emigrated to Palestine in 1923 where he gave piano recitals and began composing. His work was inspired by Arab bedouin and peasant songs as well as Sephardi and Yemenite melodies.
